Kevin is a commercial litigation lawyer who is able to advise on a range of disputes and contentious matters for both businesses and individuals.
He qualified as a solicitor and Higher Courts Advocate in 2011 after first qualifying as a Barrister (non-practicing) in 2009 from Gray’s Inn in London.
Kevin has experience representing companies and individuals in disputes regarding real estate and agricultural land disputes, contested probate and inheritance disputes, and professional negligence claims.
He has established a wide range of clients including trusts, commercial property investors, local businesses, and individuals. He is aware that while a client seeks a lawyer with the confidence to protect their goods and property, practical solutions are equally as important. As such Kevin’s focus at an early stage is on identifying possible points to resolve a dispute and to utilise alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, expert reports and negotiation to achieve a workable solution for his clients.
He regularly advises clients on matters regarding land and property disputes such as residential or commercial landlord/tenant disputes, dilapidation clauses, restrictive covenants/easements, agricultural tenancy matters and possession claims.
Due to Kevin’s extensive base of commercial clients he can advise companies on matters surrounding breaches of contract, consumer rights legislation and debt recovery.
Kevin represented a well established and reputable east midlands waste management company that was prosecuted by the Environmental Agency for failing to report coal tar in waste material despite assurances from the local authority.
Advising a long established Trust on a complex matter regarding breaches of restrictive covenants by long lease holders.
He has represented a number of small companies who were having telecommunication contracts enforced following the collapse of Global Telecoms & Technology Ltd.
Represented a commercial agricultural client in obtaining an injunction to prevent breaches of an environmental license by a former tenant.
Kevin was part of a team advising on a high value national fraud case in which the client was involved in a multi-layered Ponzi scheme fraud within the windows industry where over a hundred distributors lost substantial amounts of money.
